3.1.2 Nomination and Election of Regents

1. Purpose
The Governance Committee serves as the nominating committee for positions on the Board. The following policy outlines the procedure followed to recommend individuals for election to the Board of Regents (as per Campion College policy 5.2.3).
2. Nominations to the Board of Regents
Any member of the public, or college or university community may submit a nomination. Approved nominees will be invited to the Board based on Board needs and corresponding skill sets. All information submitted will be kept in confidence.
Individuals interested in applying to the Campion College Board or Regent complete the Nomination Form and follow the instructions found at: https://campioncollege.ca/about/governance/board-of-regents/.
Applications are reviewed by the Governance Committee. If an interview is desired by the committee, the interview will be conducted by the following:

- Chair of the Corporation of Owners (or designate); and
- Chair of Campion College Board of Regents (or designate)
Following the nominee review (and possible interview) the Chair of the Governance Committee recommends to the Board of Regents to consider election of the individual to the Board.
3. Election of Nominees
Members of the Board of Regents shall elect Regents individually in the manner determined by normal rule of order, at the earliest convenient Board of Regent meeting.
