Get to know your Campion community and get a “Headstart” on your first year!
Friday, August 28, 2026 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
Building connections with your College community – peers, professors, and more – will help you to enjoy your time at University and be a more successful student. The Headstart program is your chance to start making those connections before classes even begin.
At Headstart, you will:
- Meet the profs who will be teaching you and the staff members who are here to help you
- Take a guided tour of the whole campus, and figure out where your classes will be
- Get answers to your questions about what University will be like
- Meet fellow students and start making friends.

How much does it cost to participate in Campion Headstart?
It’s 100% FREE! You simply have to be an incoming first-year student registered through Campion College.
Should I attend this event if I’m already going to New Student Orientation?
Yes! This event is an add-on to Orientation, just for Campion students.
What about lunch? Do I have to pay for it?
Your lunch is FREE (and there will be snacks available as well). If you have any dietary restrictions, please let Sarah know at sarah.greenwood@uregina.ca.
How long is the day?
Registration starts at 9:00 am and the program begins at 9:30 am. We will finish up around 2:00 pm.
Where does this event take place?
Headstart will take place in-person at Campion College, 3825 Lee Gren Ave. We will meet you on the main floor on the day of the event.

We encourage you to walk or take public transit if possible! The #18 bus stops near Campion, and several others stop elsewhere on campus. For more information on bus routes:

Can I bring a friend or a guest?
This event is intended for first-year Campion students. If your friend is a Campion student, encourage them to register too! If they are not a Campion student, they can contact campion.registrar@uregina.ca to find out about how to become one.
Sometimes students ask about bringing a parent along. University is an opportunity to grow in independence, and you will be expected to manage the responsibilities of your career as a student, so please start on the right foot by leaving parents behind for the day.
