3.7 Release of Information to the Public

3.7.1 Information on decisions taken by the Board shall be released to the media by the Chair of the Board or under the authority of the President of the College and in conjunction with the Manager of College Marketing and Communications of the College.

3.7.2 Board Members’ expression of views on Board decisions and the procedures to reach the decision will not be recorded unless specifically requested by that/those Board Member(s).

3.7.3 Board deliberations and particulars of votes are confidential.

3.7.4 Public may have access to the following, typically on the College website:

• Board agenda summaries but not appendices
• Minutes of Board meetings once approved
• Regular reports to the Board

3.7.5 Any information released to the public on behalf of the Board will be coordinated through the office of the Manager of College Marketing and Communications.
