Natasha Jaques is an astute computer programmer who aims to harness the power of artificial intelligence to serve humanity. After graduating from Campion College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Jaques pursed a master’s degree at UBC where she won the Microsoft Research Graduate Women’s Scholarship and the UBC Computer Science Merit Scholarship. Now working on her doctoral program at MIT, Jaques has been awarded with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Wellbeing Fellowship, and has interned with both Microsoft and Google.
Jaques is also passionate about giving back to her community. She has taught children to build robots at the Mother Teresa Middle School Science Camp, empowered young girls to pursue robotics and computer science through Girlsmart, and continues to advocate for equitable pay for women working within the area of computer programming.
