ENROLMENT COUNSELLOR

Reporting to the Manager of Recruitment and Retention within the Campion Registrar’s Office, the Enrolment Counsellor’s primary responsibility is the recruitment of students to Campion College and the University of Regina. This position works collaboratively with the U of R Student Recruitment team to promote the University and its Federated Colleges. This position is also responsible for promoting Campion College within the high schools and at career fairs and various events.

DUTIES
  • Promote Campion College through a broad range of activities, presentations, and social networking. This includes education and career fairs and in-class presentations
  • Support the development, delivery, and assessment of recruitment media for the College (print, presentations, web-based tools, information packages, etc.)
  • Serve as the University and College liaison at assigned schools
  • Prepare and arrange recruitment travel
  • Prepare and maintain recruitment records
  • Advise applicants on program/faculty choices as they relate to their academic credentials and personal interests
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of events related to the recruitment and retention of Campion College students (ie. Orientation, Information Nights, Registration Days, Admissions/Scholarship workshops, etc.)
  • Assist with the organization and implementation of various campus events for prospective students, parents, and the public
  • Serve as the Campion representative on U of R Student Recruitment committees where required
  • Serve as the Campion representative for SUTIL
  • Assist the Registrar’s Office with student advising as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in the Liberal Arts. Preference will be given to candidates who attended Campion College
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organization and time-management skills
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation software. A demonstrated knowledge of best practices in social media is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • A thorough knowledge of university programs and services is preferred. Familiarity with student information systems (i.e. Banner) is an asset
  • Must be able to carry, lift, and set up small and large display units and audio-visual equipment and deliver boxes of promotional material
  • Travel in- and out-of-province is required
  • Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and meet auto-leasing drivers’ requirements
