BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT (1-year term)

Campion College is seeking a Business Development professional to establish partnerships that will benefit the College strategically and financially. These partnerships will also seek to support our Strategic Plan: 2019-Strategic-Plan.pdf

This is a full-time 12-month term position commencing August 2022, with a possibility of extension.

BACKGROUND

The last few years have been difficult for the post-secondary sector as a whole. A fluctuating economy along with the ongoing pandemic has impacted traditional revenue streams such as tuition and operating grant funding.

In recent years, Campion College has undertaken preliminary research into options that could provide opportunities to generate new, growing and sustainable revenue streams now and into the future. Some of the current options identified include: professional training, hosting in person and virtual events & conferences, and rental of meeting rooms/facilities. Campion College has done some research into the various options relating to diversification of income streams through partnerships and space rental ‐ outside of regular university (credit) courses. However, more work is needed to determine suitability for these “non-traditional” ideas.

Campion believes that there are many strategic partnerships that may: a) support the needs of these organizations; b) increase Campion’s outreach to its Catholic partners; and c) increase revenue for the College. Therefore, the College is seeking to hire a term position to explore such partnerships and develop a business plan for sustained use of College facilities to increase revenue and build community relevancy.
