Jackie Beaurivage
BA '74
2017 Alumni of Distinction Award Recipient

Jacqueline feels that Campion was a beacon that has always shone the values of excellence, service, and respect for all.

Jackie received a BA in literature from the college in 1974 and then moved on to McGill, earning a diploma in Early Childhood Education in 1975, and an MBA in 1981.  She subsequently pursued doctoral studies in business administration.

At the suggestion of a mentor, Jacqueline began an extensive journey working in financial services, where she achieved great career success. She joined the Royal Bank in 1981 and was named Vice President of Marketing and Sales just ten years later. By 1994 she ventured on to CIBC to become the President and CEO of CIBC Trust, and held numerous Senior Vice-President positions.  In 2010, Jackie joined the executive team of the Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan. Since 2014, she has been on the Board of Directors for Toronto-based mortgage lender Home Capital Group.

Jackie’s strength of character shone through in the face of a family crisis.  At 17, her youngest son was diagnosed with clinical depression and together they fought a battle against this life-threatening illness.  To ensure her son and others received the necessary care- and to facilitate broader community support-she became a director of the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario, ultimately chairing the Board of Directors.  Along with her son, Jackie became a spokesperson to help raise awareness concerning mental illness.

Her passion and drive continue to this day, anchored in her firm beliefs learned at Campion, to uphold and strengthen others in the community, no matter the challenge.
